Located in the heart of Charleston’s Historic District, 292 King Street was originally built in 1834. The original building fell victim to Charleston’s Great Fire of 1838, but was immediately rebuilt, re-using a common wall that had survived the fire. In the early 1900’s, the building was remodeled in the Art Modern style of the time, elements of which can still be seen in its facade.
Today, 292 King Street is home to The Quarters on King. The upgraded interior features luxury suites with modern amenities, including spacious bedrooms, complete kitchens, and contemporary common areas. Smaller units are perfect for couples and professionals, while larger units are well suited for wedding parties, families, and extended stays.
