The Quarters on King

Located in the heart of Charleston’s Historic District, 292 King Street was originally built in 1834. The original building fell victim to Charleston’s Great Fire of 1838, but was immediately rebuilt, re-using a common wall that had survived the fire. In the early 1900’s, the building was remodeled in the Art Modern style of the time, elements of which can still be seen in its facade.
